Hollowcore
Hollowcore slabs are widely used as floor and roof members in commercial and residential buildings. These slabs are extensively used as residential garage floors, allowing builders to create extremely inexpensive lower level living space, which can often serve as storm shelters.
Hollowcore is quick and inexpensive to install and will never warp, rot or squeak. The planks can span long distances with minimal thickness, decreasing the overall volume of many buildings.
Hollowcore planks are extruded around a series of prestressed steel strands. Each slab is made to order with optional inlayed connection plates.
Hollowcore is relatively light weight due to the continuous voids running the length of each piece. These voids may be used to route plumbing, electrical, phone and other electronic services.
